But why capped?
Unfortunately only have max line speed of 10mbps in my area. Fibre only planned for next year.

I've tried 3 different providers for uncapped and their were extremely unreliable and would get throttled at 150g.

So for me who likes streaming and steam updates and downloads that 150 was hit very quick and all my speeds thereafter were not fun. Couldn't play games at all.

So capped works great as I never hit that 400 gig and and speeds are constant as capped prioritized over uncapped.

:)

 That's sad man, I thought you were on fibre. My bad!

One day hopefully :)
R780.00 per month not bad for what I get but yes fibre would be nice

I'm on the same package as you with Afrihost . 10Gbps / 400gb capped . Why you paying R 780 p/m . I'm paying R 538 ?

So you don't pay Telkom anything for your landline ?

Not too my knowledge for adsl
Have standard telkom line at home for calls.
The adsl use to be on there but moved it to afrihost at cheaper rate.

Well then I'm not sure why you are paying so much . I pay my landline via telkom but moved ADSL over to Afrihost when I joined them ages ago. Sounds too high to me.

Capped Lte which is supposed to be "up to 25mbps download" however during peak times its 80-90, generally over 100 most parts of the day. I dont complain obviously

Is this for the line capacity you have or the ACTUAL true download speeds you get? Depending on this, I might need to change my vote....

To the Telkom LTE folks, how’s the latency in-game? Has this improved over the years?

We moved recently and bought a house, as I moved in they installed the 100 / 100 fiber from SADV and my ISP is VOX. If you just browse your not really noticing a difference in internet speed compared to the 20mb VDSL I used to have. But what I love is the many simultaneous things you can now do. I can play games while uploading 10 gb to google drive while my wife stream a movie on the tv, and never have any Ingame ping issues or spikes. The uploading is just amazing, normally uploading 20mb to drive was a pain in the a**, now, uploading 10gb in 30 min is so amazing.

- Home 10Mbps

- Work 100Mbps for only 2 Mac's. We only really Email....... So extra

 It also helps me dibs items on carbonite quicker
I do occasionally download game files and then carry them home when I buy a new game :D

50 up and down - cool ideas.

Just two gamers sharing 1 line, really no need to go for anything more and its the perfect speed for a quick download when going to work and coming back for lunch.

anything over 100/100 mbit is pointless imo unless you want faster downloads. You won't see any real world gain apart from the throughput.

so in short, you're paying more for waiting less ...

200/100 Fibre

For now....

1000 Mbps

When you download and your pc crashes because your aging hdd can't keep up :)

I have FTTH, but dropped the speed because I am really apalled by the poor life decisions made by the porn people that are now visible. I do not want to see every stretch mark, c-section or track marks thank you.
