Where to get a modem?

So I want to buy a router and modem separately, I already have the router I want in mind but I need to know where I can get a cheap and simple modem only or a cheap modem/router which I can run in modem mode. I've been searching and I don't know if the cheaper modem/routers have the option to operate in modem mode only.
So if anyone has any suggestions that would be helpful. Thanks

I have a Siemens ADSL 2 modern already in bridged mode that I used before I switched to vdsl.

Honestly don't know what it is worth, but make me a reasonable offer. I am also located in Durban so that might be a bit of a pain for you.
