Hi all,

I want to get a set of supermoto rims for a ktm 500 exc-f 2023 (17 inch x 3.5 inch front, 17 inch x 4.25 rear) hopefully a complete set, because I want to still have the off road rims in one piece.

Any recommendations?

Any advise is appreciated.

Have seen a few sets come up second hand every now and then. Often for older model KTM’s.

Post a wanted on Facebook groups, someone may have some lying around they willing to sell at a decent price.

If you have lots of money lying around and looking for new rims that’s a different story. Then you have lots of options.

Remember you’ll need to do front disc and calliper mods too if you want the bigger disc up front.

Not 100% sure on supermoto rims, but speak with Bikers warehouse (JHB). I got a spare rear rim for my 250 XC-W. Excel rim, with a Racecraft hub/spokes. Got it a few years ago, can't remember what I paid but I do remember it being quite a bit cheaper than buying OEM.

Try Quinton @ Ravens Racing in Kameeldrift.

I am willing to get brand new. Any recommended places?

I had Excel rims on both my RMZ and CRF motards. Pop me a DM and I can send you a guys number who will def be able to help you out.

Also keep in mind that just slapping in a pair of new rims and sticky tyres is only the start. Need to put a larger front brake setup on, slipper clutch (if you do not want to see your gat). Those 2 are the most important when doing a conversion.

Pm'd

Definitely going to get the brakes upgraded and eventually the slipper clutch upgrade. Steering dampner is also on the list.
