Need some advice and generally would like to discuss the TV's on the market at the moment.
My TV is on its way out and way too small for the space any way: 55"
Looking at some of the following:
I think the smallest would be 75" - At that size the C2 and QN90A/B seem just too expensive.
Would you go for bigger size or better quality/lighting?
I'm also in the market for a TV, and was looking at some of the options you had. If I could share my thoughts on them:
The Sony X85J is a good looking TV, has Edge lighting and has nice features on paper. As a regular TV it's pretty nice with Google TV as the OS and it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10
There's 3 downsides to it:
1. The regular price (though it's on special at Incredible Connection for 42k until end of tomorrow),
2. It only supports HDMI 2.1 VRR and Gsync, not Freesync.
3. When connecting to the PC, you don't get 4k120 with 4:4:4 chroma making text a bit blurry (

The Q60B should be written off immediately, the Q70B is on special already and is much better. The Q60B is only 60hz, doesn't have VRR or anything. It's really bad for the price.
The Q70B looks like a decent panel, has 4x HMDI 2.1 ports, has proper 4k120 support. Supports Freesync and apparently works with Gsync.
The only 2 downsides are it doesn't support Dolby Vision and it's edge lit, not direct led lit like the Sony.
In person it didn't look bad (the Digital Experience in Fourways has both the 85" X85J and 85" Q70B on display) and my wife preferred it to the Sony.
It also comes with Samsung Signature Service (Samsung delivers it and does a basic installation for you, you call Samsung if you have problems, has an extra year warranty etc).
The Nano75 86" isn't a bad TV per se because the price is lower than the others but I still feel at that price point, you really should be getting features like VRR and 4k 120Hz. If you're buying a TV to last a while, I wouldn't go with it.
From those lot, I'm going with the Q70B because it's:
1. Newer, so has longer support
2. Has the most features except Dolby Vision which I don't think is too bad of a thing. But if we start getting more Dolby Vision videos in the future, I'll be kicking myself
3. The Samsung Signature Service sounds quite nice. We'll see how that goes.
But if you're looking to go 75", there's alot more contenders. Hisense has quite a few nice models and you could buy through Progenix.
The Hisense TVs can have Quantum Dot and Dolby Vision, VRR, 4k120 etc. Even Mini-LED FALD backlighting. They can check off every feature you'd want.
And at 65" TCL has quite a few really reasonably priced but good TVs, also with Quantum Dot and HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.
Also OLEDs are really nice. I have the C1 48 as my work monitor. It's really nice, but I personally lean towards a bigger display for the lounge. Especially since I have a decent amount of sunlight coming through into it.
And most of my content will be streaming videos, I'm not going to get content that really pushes the TV to it's limits. Like a 1080p compressed from youtube video isn't gonna look that much better on a 65" OLED vs a 65" QLED. But you'll always be using the extra size of a 85", no matter the video.
If you're going to be using primarily for gaming, then the OLED might also make sense, since the video from your consoles games won't be compressed to death.
You really should go into stores and have a look at the models, then find the best prices online for the one you want.
And of course, if you can wait, Black Friday is 2 months away and you might score an even better deal. That's when I got my C1
