Like @Petester said, NVME performance on gaming is hardly noticeable vs a normal SSD. Loading times are slightly impacted, but from what I can tell it doesn't influence the gaming experience. On a scale of 20 seconds to load a game, the NVME might give you 1 or 2 seconds. Beyond that, same thing.
The cheapest SSD you can find should give you roughly the same performance in games compared to the best NVME. If you do heavy video/photo editing, then an NVME will save you some time.
