Thermal pads for Rx6800xt XFX MERC & gen advice

Hey guys.

My 3 year old 6800xt Xfx merc is running alil hot so i plan to get the thermal paste changed but just concerned my hot spot could be a memory related or such so i wanted to get the thermal pads changed too.

Different Gpus require different thermal pad thicknesses. I looked for specific info on whats needed for my gpu.

Just hoping someone else might have messed with the same gpu and knows the thermal pad thicknesses and if they have any recommendations on where to get in SA.

Even thermal paste for the chip advice ill take.

You have to use very specific thermal pads for a GPU or it won’t make good contact.

You could try adding a small amount of thermal paste to the existing thermal pads to improve their conductivity.
