yes bin it. unless by some miracle you can find someone with a faulty board to take panel from.
Unless things have changed, samsung or lg panels have been extremely expensive to buy separately, most time more than the cost of a replacement tv.
Have you asked insurance if you can claim ?

From experience, I know this much - vertical line is panel damage. There's no 'fix' for that except a new panel.

Hmm how bad is the damage? How much screen space. You could literally turn it on its side, plug it into a PC , set a custom resolution and position that smaller screen in the non-cracked section lol. <--- sounds like a mission.

OR

you could make a YouTube video where you throw eggs at your TV and smash it with an axe. Get some views, make some moola, buy new tv.
Oooo throw it off a really high bridge.
Try and surf on it.
Ride a bike while trying to carry it
Go put it in a window at incredible connection with a free sticker
Ride it down a grassy hill.

Or the equivelant of capitol punishment in 2019. Revoke wifi access and cellphone privileges until 18.
