Hey everyone, I urgently need advice on a recent sale I made on Carbonite.

Context:
I sold my GPU which was in full working order, I ran benchmarks and did stress tests as well as tested out a few games (warrhunder, apex legends and warzone 2.0)

When the buyer tested the card on his machine there were some artifacts that looked like it could be a driver error but he managed to fix that but then a weird blue box appears on his screen before the system posts and when it does boot the graphics look good without any issue

I don't know how to handle this situation, I could offer a refund but I don't know if the buyer damged the card or if there is another issue with his system that's causing this problem, he did test it with another GPU and the problem went away however I have never seen this issue on my system

Is there a protocol in place for this situation?
What would an amicable outcome be for both the buyer and seller?

Has the buyer tried switching pcie slots? I've encountered similar artifacting in the past.👍

Not sure but he has tried another and GPU without any error

Might also need to run DDU to do a proper uninstall of the previous GPU's drivers if the gpu's are not the same. I remember when I got my RX 6600 XT I just did a normal uninstall to get rid of Rx 580 drivers and I experienced some issues, at that stage I did a windows reset and all was fine after.

sorry never experienced this before I hope someone here has the answer for you

I think he used ddu but don't know if he did a clean windows install

This is EUFI/CSM issue with amd cards, super common can be fixed

Hopefully it is, do you have any idea where I can get more information? I've tried searching for an answer but I think I'm not using the correct jargon when I search

Its not something i found with google, just by testing 100s of cards.

So make sure pc set lgacy mode should mode fix it, but migth format pc. You dont really mat to use legacy mode just for this
