Hi guys so basically i want to use rain but my overall signal is low , only one room in the house picks okay signal 3 bars of 4g
I have wifi but telkom claims they will be removing my lines soon , any advice on a signal booster or something cheap 3000 for just a few bars is insane ...

External antenna and router mounted close to this, to keep the feedline/antenna cable short.

This is all you can do, other than, talk to your cell provider and get them to install a indoor repeater. This is something that would be illegal for you to do and thus, I'm not even sure what equipment if any is available to purchase to do this yourself, Vodacom put in a indoor 3G repeater here, some time (3 years?) ago, it works reasonably well, but they had to install a LogPeriodic antenna outside to get enough signal to the indoor repeater. (Cell tower around 12km from here)

If your router has an external antenna connector, then this is what you can do yourself. External antenna outside, pointing to the cell tower and that should give the router enough signal, one would hope.

Appreciate the feedback, never realized it was illegal , i ended up doing research found out i need a xpol 6 antenna and will use it as a external antenna to my LTE router only now I'd need to buy these items so far looks about 2-3 k ..... Wallet already seems empty lol but nevertheless thank you for your assistance
