I am not entirely certain which psu I should opt for to mine with, I hear that server psu's are very loud though.

Could anyone point me in the right direction ?

Hi,

it depends on how much moola you want to spend... ATX power supplies are very expensive when it comes to Rand/watt. If you compare, for instance a 1200W ATX PSU against a 1200W Server PSU, the latter will be much cheaper.

However, the server PSU cannot be used as is. It needs a breakout board. I have just imported a 1400W Server PSU with a breakout board from Parallel Miner in the US, and it was much cheaper than my Thermaltake 1200W RGB PSU.

A server PSU is only loud if you run it near to full load. But yes, they can get a bit loud
