First came the SketchUp design, and really got excited to have a new project.
So today begun Day one of my build and feel like I got a lot done. Got the main wood piece as a off cut from builders and R80 for the beams for the side. They also has a sheet of Perspex and while not super expensive just went for it
Begun will making all the right lines on the wood
Next cut up all the Perspex to the shapes, ended up using a jigsaw with a wood blade, but ended up been awesome. Just had to be careful.
Next I used the power sander and grinded down all the edges 45 degrees by hand, that was fun but ended up very nicely.
Makes a big mess
Next up came figuring the graphics card mount. Ended up working nicely, the only possible issue I can see is not enough airflow underneath the card, time will tell.
So things still need to do:
Cut outs for cables&LEDs
Carbon fiber wrap
Mount up all parts
Mount side beams
Will post second update this weekend hopefully.
