howdy guys...
I am having issues opening up my ports for mostly online gaming...
have created the virtual servers ports, port triggering ports, DMZ, UPnp is ticked, static ip given etc...
tried with windows firewall off still no effect.
I have an Archer AX50 and with Cybersmart... can open a single port at all... might be related to my ISP not sure. just wanna make sure there isn't a simple tick i need to correct that i am not just seeing before i phone my isp and try and explain to them what port forwarding is for the next 20 minutes.

done netstat -a -b listening and established
stumped....

You probably have a NAT IP from your ISP, contact them and ask for a public IP.

Hi @ar.rev

Check if you are not being double NAT.
check the WAN IP on your router and then google "what is my IP" check if they the same.

I had a similar issue, and the issue was that my ISP double NATTED me.

Hope you get your issue resolved

Echoing other replies here, your ISP is probably not providing you with a public IP address.

Had the same thing with Initio360 - They provisioned a public IP after I requested one. Took only an hour or so for them to do it.

@ar.rev

Hi Insist on speaking to the connection department, don't even bother speaking to support, I had the same issue where my WAN and Public IP were not the same after they gave me a new public IP and rebooted the router all port forwarding issues was sorted.

Hope you manage to sort it out.

You shouldn't have to do any port forwarding. Most games can do UPnP now days but like mentioned if you behind a double NAT it wont work either way.
