Good Afternoon Carbonites

Hope everyone is well, I am hoping a few of the Pro Gamers \ Multi mouse users on the forum can help me select the proper mouse for me.

I think my biggest issue is I have a mixed grip style between Palm (35%) and Claw (65%), I have used a number of mice over the last year and basically hated everyone

I give my impression below of the mice i used , hopefully it helps

Mice used:

Corsair M45 - Really didn't like the mouse, Grip was weird and remained uncomfortable for the week I used it (Used: 1 week) (sold)
Cougar 700m - Worse ergonomic wise I have used, My hand didn't fit the mouse was very uncomfortable (used: 1 week) (sold)
Rat 9 - Best mouse I have used so far for comfort but still not right, The sensor is horrible , software is worse (Used: 7 months)
BlackAdder chroma - This mouse doesn't fit my palm correctly and fells small for my grip , but the sensor is amazing (used: 1 week)

I really don't know where to go , nothing feels right

I am looking at the below mice but scared they will be same:

Asus ROG Gladius
Mionix NAOS 7000

Please gents any help is welcome.

What I have ended up doing is just having 2-3 mouses plugged in at the same time. I have a R.A.T.7 which I switch to for FPS, and then alternate between a trusty ol' X7 and a Sensei RAW for browsing and other styles of game. I have the desk space and usb ports for it, so I thought, why not.

Read the reviews for the different mionix mice, there is one with a mix grip type and there is a reseller on carb that stock a few mionix models

I only game on my PC and Not in the mood for multiple mice

I like the mionix castor but if you have big hands it won't suit you. Smooth with no tracking you can also calibrate the lift distance and the surface which is a nice touch.

I only play fps and set to 800 dpi. Very responsive alot like my mx518 and g400s but better.

I play at the same DPI but Sadly the G502 is very uncomfortable

Steelseries Sensei was the greatest mouse I have ever used.................until I tried the Steelseries Rival.

Optical, great software and very very comfortable.

+1 for the Mionix NAOS 7000 I won it in a competition from Doronimo its bigger than the Caster which I like and has a great sensor.

i got a sensei for the GF and I find it way to tiny for me, I myself use a Deathadder and love it, The Rival is similar in shape the only thing that put me off and made me choose the DA over it was the Rival doesn't that concaved buttons on the top, I love the deep grooves on the left and right click.

I see you're in Gauteng. If you'd like you can come test out my mice and see what you like, not actually selling them but might be a nice guideline for what you can look at.

SS Rival (Version 1)
Logitech G400S
Asus ROG Gladius
SS Kana V2
Zowie FK2
Zowie EC2-A
Zowie ZA11
Final Mouse (2015 Edt.) (This is for sale)

Most of them are quite different from one another, so you can maybe feel the two extremes of claw vs palm and then a mix of the two.

Sweet!

Just to add - A decent mouse pad also makes a huge difference to game play and just the general feel of the mouse. Definitely not some thing to be cheap'd out on. Then again looking at your sig - I would assume your's is made with gold ;)

dude were did you buy your zowie mice?

Steeleries Rival. The Gladius is the same shape as the Adder. Been there used that.

Have to agree. I have a RAT 7, Razor Ouroborus, Razer Naga and Steel Series Rival and it is by far the best, have coming second only to Logitech MX518. MX518, now there's a mouse that ill miss FOREVER.

I play at the same DPI but Sadly the G502 is very uncomfortable

a serious gamers mouse is something very personal to his playstyle, likeness and such ...

uhhhmm ... I love my G502 - for me best mouse i've owned ...

I also tried a few other mice with mixed feelings / emotions ... Steelseries Rival is nice , good feel , but wears fast on the rubber pads on the side. Steelseries Raw is light ( as with all steelseries mice ) so good for snap shots.

I suspect you might be looking at something more "generic" in feel...

Steelseries mice aren't bad ... Rival is decent .... RAW is symmetrical in feel ...

I love my steelseries rival 300(the original one just renamed because the made a lower & higher end models)

Great shape works great for different grip styles but it is long mouse.

I have used it as both claw and palm grip, which depended on game i am playing, it is also a bit light which also makes claw grip a charm as you don't need massive forearms to move it.

My only issue (because i have children) is the top rubber surface picks up oily prints very easy.

The ones i used before the rival.

Razer ouroborus, deathadder, naga, mamba, taipan, abyssus

Logitech g502, mx master, mx 518

R.a.t 7

Steelseries sensei

Microsoft Sidewinder

Those are just the "gaming mice"

And i use a qck xxl
