Thanks to the recent patch and the optimisations I get a consistent 8-65 FPS @ 1080P, Ultra.

Drop shadows and foliage to low. Decent performance bump and foliage is being exploited by everyone, so you may as well get a performance boost and level the playing field a bit.

Had some good runs last night with DeltaZA , Gaan_Nou_Braai & whitespid3r ... some close calls but we had a blast none the less .

On a side note i still get between 30-40 fps for some strange reason ... not sure how to fix this problem

I found putting shadows onto medium and draw distance onto high gave a big boost. Also Anti-Aliasing - drop that a touch and see how it goes. I average higher FPS than you with a slower CPU and GFX.

Funny thing we saw on the graphics the other day, I use a 1070 and a mate of mine uses a 1060. He was at my house over the weekend and could not believe how good the game looks on my pc.

I took a screenshot of my settings (everything ultra) and he went home to check his, his settings is exactly the same as mine but it looks completely different according to him, houses and trees in the distance looks like blobs and he cant really see other players that far.

I was spectating him in squad the other day and I could clearly see the other players but he couldn't. Why would this be

Yea for the launch options.

Go into Steam, into Library, right click on Battlegrounds, properties. Click "Set Launch Options" (If i recall correctly). Then you put them in there.

You can try it with these ones.

-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -malloc=system -sm4 maxMem=12000

That last, maxMem will force the game to use 12GBs of RAM, which should help. There's a different command for 8GB or less but doesn't apply to you.

I would do those and see what difference it makes. If not much, then do the edits to the files as mentioned in the link.

I noticed this from a video I watched online too. Colours were much richer in the video than in mine, even with everything on Ultra.
Not sure of the reason honestly. Perhaps you had different edits to your files?

I definitely think there's enough interest and support for this game to be fully completed and not dropped. If you're willing to play with the current issues then buy it.
Make sure you are into this type of play. It is based a lot on strategy. and luck. skill needed of course. Its too slow for some, but I love it.

Yes it has improved. They released a 700mb update yesterday which fixed a lot of the sound issues (sound is massively better now).

Definitely worth it in my opinion, especially considering the relatively cheap price and potential hours available. If you do get it, add me.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the time that I've had to play (limited somewhat unfortunately) and I only jam on weekends.

Even with the poor FPS at times or a bit of rubber banding - it's certainly a lot of fun!
