So guys as the title says I have a corsair spec 01 I'd like to make it pretty and make it look just in general stand out more and make it less "plain". I'm currently running an amd fx8320 with a cooler Master tx3 4 cooler Master sickleflow 120mm red led fans, an HD7870 gigabyte edition Huntkey 700w non modular psu, I have a Seagate barracuda 500gb and a western digital blue 1tb also the ram I have is very basic 1333 mhz Ddr3(taken from my last build when I upgraded from lga775) so I'd like to know what I could do, I really like the psu shroud on the nzxt h440 could I do something like that here? Please advise any way I could make this case "better". Many thanks guys

Get yourself some sleeving for psu cables for a start, will help in making them look a little nicer. Not sure how much space that case has behind the mb tray, but if there's enough try hide some of the cables a little better ;)

Modding wise I'd just sleeve PSU cables, other then that personal choice but remove those USB brackets, their cables are crappy and impossible to hide

Rear fan? Know its not adding to modding much but would look better than looking straight through those holes from the outside. Most probably help with your temps too..

The back is for a water cooler when I have some cash, no space at the top for a 240mm the space at the back is borderline non existent hents the idea for the shroud as for the USB bracket I have a k70 (2 usbs) m65 (1usb) external Hdd(1usb) logitec g940(1usb) and xbox remote (1usb) and the port at the front it for my phone so I don't have a free port for more connections but I agree a little sacrifice will go a long way, is there a kit for sleeving I can get? Is it costly?

Actually you can just just fit corsair h100 on top. Check this review

fast forward to 8:03

But from what I can see I'd need ram with either no heatsink or really low profile

If you draw eyes on the front it will look like Bane.
Low profile ram isn't hard to come by, and assuming you will be upgrading your ram at some point just opt for low profile. They offer good expandability for using the top mounts in any case, and there are some good looking kits out there

I'm thinking the corsair vengeance kit, but for r1300 more or less I can get g skill 1866mhz a 16gb kit...

Yeah gskill sniper is on special just about everywhere, I'm sure thats low profile. Also look at kingston fury, depending on your color scheme that you plan on going for the kingston comes in different colors. I've used low profile ram on builds that it wasn't necessary for, its just convenient for everything.
So with sleeved cables you can have a very neat looking pc. Also since you using 2 drives and I see you tucked some excess cabling in the bottom of the cage, you can tuck in the excess from the sleeved extenders and then maybe find a piece of plastic or something and block off the front of that lower slot. In my old pc I used 1 of the 5.25 drive bay covers to block the hdd cage where my cables were

Thanks for the advice I'm trying to do black and red but the motherboard color is brown and blue

dash09 where could I get the etensions? Are they pricey? Can I remove unused cables from my psu? There's far more cables than I need I just need 5 sata and cables for board and my gpu and for a possible second gpu if I come into some money

Bitfenix alchemy cables, most online stores seem to sell them, you would need a 24pin, eps, pcie, probably like R100 odd each cable or thereabout, no need to spend extra on sata cables and stuff. Your psu is non modular so as far as I know you gotta hide the excess cables. Just cable tie the bunch and stick it in the empty hdd cage
