Hey guys, hope you're all coping during the disaster that is 2020.

So my wifes birthday is coming up in a month, and she's been looking for a new keyboard for her setup. I'm really struggling to find something perfect though. Criteria is the following:

1) Mechanical
2) Pink & White or pure pink colour scheme (I know, right)
3) Small-ish form factor preferred (like a 60% board) though not that critical
4) Some LED back-lighting (Doesn't have to be RGB if its white or pink lighting)
5) Something that will last

I had my eyes on the ducky one 2 mini a while ago, but Rebel tech, the only place I found one locally, has since shut down.
Any ideas where I can find something decent that meets the above criteria? preferably local stock. Price range +/- 2k or so.

thanks!

Why not look at that

Nah, she wouldnt be in to that

Because blank keycaps?

Hmm, can't think of available locally that would be suitable. Apparently Razer has the Huntsman Mini in white (sorry Razer, I mean Mercury) but I think that goes for a pretty penny if we can get it here at all.

I looked at the Hunstman mini, definately a contender, but as you say, hard to find here and pretty pricey.

At this point I'd be okay with plain white with some RGB's that can be set to be pink the whole time. I didnt think this colour scheme would be so hard to come buy in the "decent" keyboard market.

If you're willing to wait a day or two longer than Takealot for shipping you can order this off of amazon:

Together with some pink keycaps:

Not bad, but how would I get it here that fast? Things take 3-4 weeks when I order online usually

I'm willing to take the evetech bullet for it. I hope there will be stock with them by the time I see it listed

I've actually also seen this floating around, but I've never heard of the brand. I'll consider it if somebody has any good opinions on it? Maybe I'll hit up youtube for reviews later.

If you have any issues after buying then simply contact APEX INTERACTIVE for support there is a whole team standing by to assist ;). In terms of pricing I predict 3200/3500 could be less who knows #haha

On the topic of biting the Evetech bullet, though fullsize

And then

(reportedly horrid to type on due to there being no shape to those caps but it is a little more compactish)

And finally the ball-bustingly expensive
Sigh....I remember just after launch these were around the 2.5K mark which already seemed expensive because the original K70 had been a sub-2K board.
Edit: Slightly slightly better price

I think that's about it as far as local stock of anything white/silver/mercury goes (that's vaguely worth considering)

I would get any CherryMX board and slap a Tai Hao Miami Keycap set on it. = instant pimp look :)

Dont be thirsty! porn exists, haha.
but yeah, those keycaps are pretty siek. maybe something like this is the way to go.

Regarding the Asus,I was looking at this as well. Its a close contender, but the baby blue puts her off
Also these, the brushed metal/grey is apparently a no-go.

Dammit guys, why is she so particular with colour. At this point I'm willing to spray-paint a cheapy :ROFLMAO:

Alternative option. Pick something on Amazon or Mechanicalkeyboards.com and have @ScottulusMaximus bring it in for you.

I think you'll have to pick cheapish to make the 2K budget with shipping but you get a lot more choice that way and even if you pick bottom-rung stuff it's likely better than you can get here for the 2K budget.

Should still make it in time. Scott is pretty fast.
(no guarantees though if you go for aliexpress and the cheap sites, that'll severely increase lead time)

And its live cheaper then 3k

If you want something a bit different. I got one of these (albeit the older non-backlit version) for my GF and she loves it:

Couldnt find much decent reviews of this and on youtube...apparently this is supposed to come in the blue and brown switches, but the one on takealot is the blue switches. If you actually do find any decent reviews, let me know as well...

Unfortunately Razer's pastel range is not available anymore. They had some decent 'pinkish' boards aimed at the female market.

If you are looking locally, your options are white Huntsman mini or the pink Asus ROG board.

If Amazon is an option, AnnePro is perfect.

Nevermind this post, it has all been said. This is what I get for not reading every post.

Ordered my Keychron K6 from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Only took 4 days to get here from the States.
