Hey all,

My helper’s daughter had her laptop fail on her. The screen is not working.

I offered to look at it, but unless it’s a loose connection or something else that doesn’t need spares, I won’t be able to help.

Anyone know a reputable repairer. Her university work is on the machine and she has no way of getting it off before dropping the laptop.

I’ll try convince her again to first bring so I can at least work out the exact problem and at least back up her work.

Anyway, a good repairer would be helpful…

I'm sure its got HDMI, can she not plug it in a TV to get the data off?

It may be possible to send it directly to Mustek for repair.

Thanks. It has mini-HDMI of all thinks. I’m just trying to find a cable, then at least all things can be backed up.

I’ll try contact Muster and see. Also about the cost.

For backup you can also open up the laptop, remove the drive, put it in another machine or an enclosure, and copy the info off. But don't do this if it's under warranty.
