So are any of you playing overwatch? None of my friends have bought it yet and im getting kinda lonely. I'd prefer to play with some friends over TS.

I paid R600 for the origins edition on G2A about a month before the game came out. Bought it last week for a friend for R700, that was the normal edition.

i get about 210 ping and dont even notice it. once or twice i have been killed when i thought i had made it behind the wall but other than that it feels like im playing csgo on my normal 12 ping from my side, obviously players that have like 10 ping in eu will have a bit of an advantage but the game has been coded well enough to make it very playable for players with a higher ping. I cant wait for the competitive system to come into place this month

Damn! i dont know why but something in me feels this game is over priced, albeit really fun but in terms of content etc overpriced. Still considering whether to get it. Like the OP none of my friends have picked it up so will wait it out abit until i get to play with them

Well consider this, Blizzard has said that they will release more content and they are not planning to charge you for it. They could of course change their mind but i think there would be a riot.

This is true, i think I`ll pick up the standard edition . Have you played Battleborn?they seem to be going for a similar feel with that one

I have not played battleborn at all. i have heard it's good and better than overwatch by some people but never looked into it since overwatch won my heart in beta. i will take a look at it tonight but i doubt i will switch due to friends all being on overwatch.

In the long run, no difference at all.

I have not played battleborn at all. i have heard it's good and better than overwatch by some people but never looked into it since overwatch won my heart in beta. i will take a look at it tonight but i doubt i will switch due to friends all being on overwatch.

Check out lawbreakers too. Its not out yet though but looks interesting as well. Pity they`re all coming out together at the same time, makes it an either/or for consumers

In the early stages of the game I didn't really notice lag, or feel that my ping is higher than the other guys I am playing against. My ping usually sits around 200 on all the servers... What I noticed is as you become more experienced with the hero's you realize what you are and are not capable of. So the more I play the game the angrier I get because of the latency, I realize that in some circumstances I should've got the kill, or should've been around the corner for the enemy not to kill me.

To the guys who have the game, go play it for an hour or two, then go watch a streamer play the game. Ideally a skilled streamer... You will instantly realize the ping difference and how its a lot easier to kill enemies. I watched a streamer play tracer the other night, the speed he can kill them in is quite a lot less, also the amount of bullets he uses to kill them.

Don't get me wrong, the game is awesome, but I am slowly realizing the ping problems - its not only me, few of my mates have the same opinion.

They just did the fibre in my area and im going to be moving over to fibre soon, do you think that will help the ping or is the ping the same regardless of faster up/down speeds

I know exactly what you mean when you use your ulti, and it doesn't register, then you die.

Or even worse, I've had a few scenarios where I activate my ulti, then die a few seconds after, once I re-spawn its still available.

Local servers for this game would be amazing. Its a high skill-cap game, so I reckon it will be around for quite a while.

Yip, ping plays a huge roll in the game, well at least if you want to be "pro" at it. Tracer and WidowMaker suffers the most, sniping vs another widowmaker, firing 1st and then dying, only to see in the replay I didn't get the shot off...ugh

Still a ton of fun but it's kinda put a damper on my love for the game.

So this has gone from me finding friends do debating overwatch &#128514; It feels better than when I played LoL with 180 ping. I didn't make excuses for lol and I won't for overwatch.

Even though I'm decent at the game there are still so many things I can improve before I bash ping. And Ill take the larger player base of EU over a bit more ping.

People on 30 ping are moaning about this as well. In our case it is compounded by bad ping BUT the servers run at 20 tick.......... it is important to know that this bothers everybody. You will die behind a wall every so often or your abilities won't register.

Depends on the routing. Your ping improvement to EU can be anything between 0 and 60ms.

I must say, dont know what some ppl are going on with regards to their ping and stuff not registering. there are loads of articles saying otherwise, my experience has been amazing. i think if your ult's and stuff dont go off, its your side, most likely packet loss, as hits register from the players side not server, so this shouldnt be an issue unless you have packet loss or very very high ping. i get around 220ms and game is great, I am not great at FPS, i never get more kills than deaths in BF4 on local servers, in overwatch I almost always double my kills vs deaths, and have never had less than 1:1 ratio, I also play support, manage to use black widow fine too. Only hero I battle with is the bow guy, but thats mostly skill issue. all in all, by far the best shooter I have ever played for someone who is casual, also hear alot of SA Pro's switching to overwatch. Local servers would be nice but because the game runs so well with high ping its actually nice playing international ppl
