I know this shit happens all the time with bands, but this one punched me in the gut. linky
Mental Jewelry through Secret Samadhi were almost religious experiences to me. Post that the songs became "tired" and I just stuck with the older stuff. I saw the band in concert 4, possibly 5 times and Ed's acoustic thing he did later.
The band broke up and I was pissed at Ed for ruining the band due to his supposed insistence on getting the lion's share of money. Meanwhile Chad Taylor was sharing demo sessions for Secret Samadhi (Churchbox Sessions, brilliant) and that made me think he was part of the problem. I never thought Chad Gracey or Patrick Dalheimer had anything to do with the band breaking up. After reading the article though it seems Chad T is the originator of a lot of kak, Gracey has gone koekoes, Pat is chilling and Ed is trying to keep the bamd alive with people that aren't +Live+. Sigh.
