Hi guys.

It seems there are quite a few audiophiles on the forums :D

After selling my Little Dot recently, I got a lot of questions on where you can buy one locally.

The short answer is, you can't, at least not new.

The safest and most reliable/cost effective way to get one would be to import it directly from the Chinese manufacturer.

If anyone is interested in ordering any Little dot products (amps/dacs/transports) please pm me so I can determine whether there is enough interest to do a combined order, which will save a lot on shipping (shipping from China really burns :))

For those interested I'm importing a MK III this week to go with my HD650.

Here's a link to David's site: Little Dot

Please pm me if you have any questions.

For those who've never seen a vacuum tube amp, enjoy :)

@cerberus: :) Glad you decided on the MK III instead. I was gonna get mine from DAC,Audio Amplifier,Hifi Amplifier,Tube Amplifier,Hlly Audio, Hlly Electronics as they have free shipping, but send me the pricing you get from DavidZheZhe, so I can compare pricing please.

By the way, have a look at the Little Dot MK VI+ Balanced Headphone Amplifier also..

::EDIT::
Little Dot MK VI+ is the one in the pic you posted :p

Thanks for the pm...
Please inquire on the shipping for the MK VIII SE for me... I doubt it would be as cheap as $76.oo.. If it is, AwEsOmE!!!!

On a side note: The shipping may seem expensive, but you want to get the proper shipping done, by the folks/shops that deal with tube amps... Else, well to quote Eliot: 'I will show you fear in a handful of dust'

I emailed David, I'll post the shipping prices for the individual items as soon as I hear from him.

I just heard from David. The shipping is as follows on a few of their popular models:

MK II: $63
MK III: $76
MK IV: $83
MK V (solid state): $83
MK VIII SE: $147

The average saving on shipping for combined orders is $15 per item.

I'm ordering my MK III tonight, so if anyone is interested in joining, please pm me.

This is very important for high impedance headphones, which require amplification to sound their best.

The dacs are external units, they work in the same way as a sound card would, just without drivers.

Using a pc as example, you'd pass the signal through spdif/coaxial to the dac that converts the signal from digital to analog, from there it gets amplified by the amp and hits your ears :)

I planned on using a xonar ST, but they will only be back in SA in april, I'm considering getting a little dot dac I

Shweet! Now it makes sense! Always thought the SPDIF went through a sound chip, but i guess no processing done there! So i am guessing the first obvious benefit is a higher SNR then! Will surely get one when money permits :D

It will depend on what you are currently using, if it's a high end soundcard (such as the xonar D2x+) you'd have to spend quite a bit more to hear any improvement.

But then again, audio is a slippery slope :D

No well as opposed to the usual realtek onboard chips. Ofcourse it also means a better amp + speaker setup!
