Legend, thanks bud
This might enlighten you a bit. I've personally fell in love with the sound of FR4 plates but will be testing my first brass one soon.

Yellow Ink V2, I really don't like the sound of creams and they'll take a considerable amount of time to break in before they really feel good.Fellow enthusiasts. Can y'all help me decide between NK Creams and Yellow Ink V2's. What would you guys choose?
Ah thanks. Ive heard they're pretty scratchy.Yellow Ink V2, I really don't like the sound of creams and they'll take a considerable amount of time to break in before they really feel good.
Yeah they can be. I'm using blueberries in my macropad, because I don't mind the scratch so much on tactile switches, but if I could get something else that's more tacticle I'd probably jump on itAh thanks. Ive heard they're pretty scratchy.
You won't be satisfied until you have owned both. Get both. EZ. Financial wellbeing is a myth.Fellow enthusiasts. Can y'all help me decide between NK Creams and Yellow Ink V2's. What would you guys choose?
Haha yeah, I guess being broke will be fun. I'll have the switches to comfort me lol.You won't be satisfied until you have owned both. Get both. EZ. Financial wellbeing is a myth.
+1 for my super helpful comment.
I won't beat around the bush. They don't comfort, they just stare at you... Then you get this overwhelming feeling of regret and start questioning what a degenerate you've become. But once you get in bed and start going numb you feel great for owning stupid plastic keyboard switches that no one cares about. And that, is all that matters.Haha yeah, I guess being broke will be fun. I'll have the switches to comfort me lol.
When I saw this post I literally ordered these keycaps right away. They just arrived this morning and I am so in love. Your build is super nice. How do you find the sound of the brass plate? I want to get the aluminium for my build but I'm wondering if the brass will sound better. Beautiful build dude! Can't wait to get my TOFU60
I’ve got a tofu 60 with creams and a brass plate. Sounds insane however I think I’d go for an alu plate next time just because of the lower pitch sound and a bit more flex. When I saw this post I literally ordered these keycaps right away. So long as they're the right size you can't really go wrong. They come in different thicknesses. That being said, o-rings are just going to turn your board into a huge mush-festWhere is the best place to get keyboard o rings? Is it as simple as going to a hardware store and purchasing orings or are they specifically made for keyboards?
I appreciate the people who innovate and improve existing tools, but you can open a mx switch quicker with a traditional opener.Ruh Oh, new toys.

Before I answer you, what do you want to achieve with the orings?Where is the best place to get keyboard o rings? Is it as simple as going to a hardware store and purchasing orings or are they specifically made for keyboards?
Just looking for a more like "solid" feel? I want to try and reduce the bit of play on each key? Before I answer you, what do you want to achieve with the orings?
Hmm, I think you are referring to switch wobble. Unfortunately, that is caused by the tolerance between your stem and top switch housing, and the tolerance between the top and bottom switch housing.Just looking for a more like "solid" feel? I want to try and reduce the bit of play on each key?
I think what you want is switch filmsJust looking for a more like "solid" feel? I want to try and reduce the bit of play on each key?
Yes sir, it completely changes the characteristics of a switch when going past the ~50% mark on the stroke. They definitely change and reduce the bottom out sound, because no plastic on plastic contact. I can't handle them. Too squishy and inconsistent. Your milage may vary.@PandaAttack1 But it does decrease the bottom out noise, while making your keys more mushy? I have to weigh nice feel vs noise...

Works really well in combination with the oTEMPE5To modI kinda wanna try this mod with o-rings for science:
Damnit! I'm ordering Creams and Yellow Inks, now this! How am going to work my way through all these switches?@PandaAttack1 here's the next buy.
