Hey guys, looking to upgrade the router the router that comes standard with the MTN 5g home plans. The current one works but struggles when there are too many devices connected to it.

I'm not really finding anything geared towards home usage with a SIM card slot searching myself. Any advice pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Disable WiFi on your router. Get a dedicated access point that is hard wired into your router. Something like a unifi AP or similar.
I know nothing about networking so sorry if I’m completely wrong, but would it not encounter the same issues when too many devices connect as traffick would still be going through the access point?

Enterprise APs like the UAP AC Lite (most popular on Carbonite) are rated for like 250 clients (read as devices)

I think your mtn router is probably like 32 clients max

Weird - after I saw this thread, starting having the same problem on mine!
