I was told to train on lowering my DPI to under 1000 and sensi under 2 , took the advice also adjusting to me new keyboard

Get away from those casual games. That is where the cancer lives!

Play comp games and get your rank (not level), then it will place you in games with guys in your bracket

Just an fyi, we hardly ever face cheaters on local servers.
I actually don't remember when last I saw a cheater outside of an overwatch case.

Would not exactly say that, there are lots of cheaters. But they can easily be distinguished from guys who are good and just smurfing. But there are many local kids that use daddies CC and buy CSGO when it is on sale, and just hack the hell out of the account and don't care because they have many more accounts.

This was about a year ago, LEM+ ranks. But there is actually a FB group dedicated to reporting people on local CSGO. And there are reports and VAC Bans Daily.
CSGO is unfortunately infamous for the amount of hackers.
Maybe you have just been very lucky

I don't really think luck is a factor considering I've been playing for years and have noticed a distinct lack of cheaters in the last 8 months or so.
VAC just had a huge wave, VacNet is flagging the cheats and OW is doing it's job.
It's been well over a year since I got any msgs in game stating the person I reported has been banned as well.
Also LE - LEM rank.

Not that I'm saying you're wrong, I just haven't played against cheaters in a long time.

Having played for years you know the salty nature of CSGO as a whole so 90% of those people whining about cheaters just need to get gud, that and cheaters exist

You know you're playing against cheaters when they bunnyhop up mid while you're pushing short A on Dust 2, all this while toting Bizons nailing headshots left right and centre.

They exist.

I installed that Chrome Ban Checker plugin and only 5 people that I have played with/against have been banned. Le/Lem level with about 400hrs. I think it depends on your trust factor and I might have a high trust factor seeing that I never seem to play against hackers.

I have a smurf account in the mg range and on that account I have played with and against multiple hackers so my trust might be low on that one.

You should get into those reflex training maps from the workshop. 10-15 mins there, only headshots, and you'll be ready for a comp.

There is a workshop map, or a few. Where you can create one, and it saves into your cgf itself.
No more need for cl_crosshair stuff like the old days

Disable all enhancements if any are enabled in your audio software/driver. In csgo audio settings there's some option there make sure it's on stereo

I have yet to succeed in joining a public lobby. Extremely difficult finding a competitive game on the solo.

Yesterday i dont think many people were online due to the rains etc. But you should seriously stop playing DM and start playing comps with Dust II as the only selected map. Once you have mastered it then start with mirage etc
