So here is the deal. Bought the card here Got the card, ran timespy and card freaked out. Checked a few things, updated the bios. Issue persisted. Core was 210MHZ, once you run something it start to go up and dropped down almost instantly back to 210mhz. Checked and seem like the card was getting hot.
Opened it up and found the thermal paste was like 5mm thick on the card and dry as desert! So changed thermal paste( DID NOT CHECK THE PADS AT THIS POIINT) Put the card back to together and ran the card it was worse off. Opened her up again, and found there was almost not contact on the core. Checked it out and found the thermal pads seems to be way to thick. Spent around R1200 trying to get the correct pads for the card and finally have the card running smoothly.
Only issue is my ITX cooling is shit and the memory gets little hot with out a pretty aggressive fan speed of at at least 70%, but this is really loud and annoys me. With this fan speed the card runs after say a hour of MW2 70c MAX on core, 88c on Memory and 86c on Hostpot. With out the 70% fan speed card runs 77c on core, 92c on memory and 90c hotspot. No crashes, runs perfectly smooth.
