My office has given me a bunch of old HP 1910-24 switches (with product number JG538A) with an instruction to see if I can see if they're worth anything, after being told by the outsourced and only-to-happy-to-tell-you-to-upgrade IT provider that they are "obsolete". There was no word whether they're borked or not.
I want to test them and if they're all functional, flog them, if possible.
How do I go about testing them? And if they work, what could they possibly be worth? And if they're worth something, where'd be the best place to sell them (aside from here)?
If they're all buggered (i.e., not in the way @KURT_COCAIN fancies...), I'll take them to an electronics recycling place and get some beer money.
Disclaimer: I'm interested in computers but I'm by no means a trained technician. Still, I'm likely the most clued-up at the office on this topic, hence the reason they gave these switches to me to flog.
