Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta!!

Just after last year's E3 I was going to pre-order the Gold Edition....I feel rather fortunate now that I decided against that just before clicking the final button.
 
Tried to play the beta, couldn't log on, was forced to watch that shitty intro vid twice because you can't skip it (or I just couldn't find the button) deleted the game never to play again.

Yeah server issues we're sorted out after 10pm when normal mortals went to bed. Had the same issues until then but on PS4

Yeah I see views are mixed. Well we had a 4 man coop, the same guys I jam Siege with, and man did we have fun ! I'm really looking forward to sink hours into Wildlands this weekend so I can make a pre-purchase call
 
It's not great but it was fun for the little while that I played it.

I just finished all the missions.

I found it enjoyable when playing with friends, the driving / flying and open world reminds me of Just Cause for some reason.

I definitely won't pre-order but we'll grab it once its on special.
 
The game isn't nearly as fun solo as it is with some mates. Someone missing a shot and alerting the whole base paves the way for some pretty colorful language ;) Also it doesn't make sense that they give you a sniper rifle but no scope for it :| However i must say the game looks FANTASTIC!!

I also managed to play it - this is a game I won't buy straight out - I'll wait till it's like... 50% off, then I might get it.
It also doesn't deserve the name "Ghost Recon"
 
Played it on PS4. It is a fun game, one of those drive/fly/boat around and just shoot people without too much thinking.
 
I don't know why people are judging the game so badly, who cares what the name of the game is, or the history behind it, it's either fun to play, or it's not, take the game for what it is, not what you want it to be. I played it, I had fun, I will buy it ;)
 
Simply put this title has no history behind it. Neither does Siege. I don't know why they bothered linking it to prior games.

I had a lot of fun with it although there are some glaring issues that should be fixed before release:
1. Helicopter controls. I've never played a game with worse heli controls. How it made it to any kind of beta in it's current state is beyond me.
2. Vehicle physics or lack thereof. As funny as it is throwing yourself off a mountain in any kind of vehicle, all the thrill is removed once you realize that you're in no danger whatsoever. It removes all skill or accomplishment from navigating tricky terrain.
3. CQB combat. Those "Breach-and-hack the laptop" missions point out where the combat is at it's weakest. None of the cameras work well for room clearing at a decent pace. ADS is too magnified while OTS blocks your view.

Aside from that I think it's pretty solid. Loads of content, plenty of weapons & mods to keep one entertained. Playing on the hardest difficulty is an absolute must though. It's laughably easy on anything else.
 
Will buy once on special, money spend on Mass Effect Andromeda - only game that is a must for the time being.

Dips down to low 50s and sometimes a random quarter second dip to 40 when driving.
This is on a GTX1080 and 4770k at 1080p with the latest drivers on ultra with shadows on medium, draw distance on high, turf effects off and long shadows off.
Wondering if playing it in offline mode might help.

Is the game installed on an SSD or disc drive? As soon as i moved the game over to my SSD, my load times have almost disappeared completely! I suspect those dips may be the game reading some kak or the other from your drive ;)
