Hi All,

As it says the problem is a start up issue.

Basically i took my pc's psu and connected it to a mobo I was testing. Connected everything back and now it will do either of the following:

1. It starts up and does nothing no post at all
2. It starts up then turns off for about 5 secs then turns back on and does nothing no posting at all

What have I done:

I have disconnected everything. I have removed Graphics card, nothing, I have removed network card, nothing, I have disconnected all hard drives, nothing, I have removed all ram modules and nothing. So now I'm offically over it and have no other ideas what could be wrong unless the psu has done its last leg?

Specs:

Intel Skyberg Mobo
Intel E7400 CPU cooled by Asus Silent Knight II
Generic 750W PSU
4x2gb Kingston Ram Modules
ATI Sapphire 3870 GPU
Gigabit Network Card
200gb Seagate HDD OS
500gb Western Digital HDD
1.5tb Seagate HDD
2x1tb Seagate HDD

Thanks for all the help

Regards

Remove the motherboard from case maybe.

Make sure there in an onboard speaker or speaker connected.

Check if CPU is seated correctly - in my experience if CPU is not seated correctly the motherboard will do NOTHING not even make sounds.

disconnect all the front-end panel stuff/switches - i once has a problem with a reset button that was stuck

Thanks for all the help guys...landed up ripping the whole thing apart and tested outside the case and it boots fine...so stuck it back in and it worked again...simply just weird
