Cyberpunk 2077

the Steam pre-load is done, however i noticed my download queue still has the Game there for an update and its checking like every 3 minutes...nothing happens when it starts, then it changes the schedule time by 3 minutes. Anybody else have this on Steam?

According to reddit it's normal. When you try and force download it checks the server to see if the game has been released. When the server reply 'no' or 0 then the game is forced back to queue. So there is an update... Hopefully not 43GB

Thanks. With regards to the Day 1 patch, seem a few discussions on steam where they been arguing that the patch is either 43gbs or 7.7gbs.

So looks like everyone on Steam is going to have to download the day 1 patch at release time. 2AM. The patch is expected to be between 2-3GB. Same for Epic.

GOG has an update now and is expected to have a much smaller update at launch time.

Anyone decided on their CP knob size yet? Options are large, default or small.
I am playing for the other side. Still undecided on the playstation size.

I have a lousy steam copy. Nice.

Also, be warned gents, spoilers everywhere.
Somehow I've managed to dodge them, even though I'm only mildly invested in the story. I'm just here for the lightshow Nvidia promised me.

Does this game scale well with dual GPUs? What could one expect with 2x3090's?

I had a 9gb update and another 241mb on gog pc.

Been playing for about 45 minutes in the corpo lifepath (dumps you straight in the city).

This is one of the worst implementations of DLSS I've seen. Absolutely terrible mirror in the bathroom which wouldn't be so bad if you just walked passed but you have to stare at it for a minute in a cutscene and it is very jarring.
Quite a few lights and billboards flicke, jagged edges everywhere. It clearly cannot cope even with Quality mode.

RT is just a performance killer. With DLSS Quality on at 1440p, one scene in a nightclub from 135fps to 68fps by enabling ultra RT.

After trying out a few settings, I'm going to be playing at 1440p native with no RT or DLSS. Much clearer in motion and still a very good looking game.

Did you grab the new driver before all this?

Just some feedback. I don't have a tool to monitor fps, but I am able to play 3440x1440 RT on Ultra and DLSS with my overclocked 3070. My guess is the framerates are around mid 40s, but the lows are high so it does not feel that bad.

Poor old 1080 can't do much anymore, dropped to Medium with one or two sliders moved back to high but even then it's a pretty and incredibly detailed game. Puts most other games even maxed to shame.

I think CDPR pulled another Witcher 2 with this one. Similar to the Ubersampling that game had which took years of graphics cards to catch up I assume we will be looking at flagships 2-3 times stronger than our current ones 5-6 years from to max this game at 4K. Apparently the ray tracing used in this game is miles ahead of the implementation in other games.

my little playthough (steam says 84min ... cant be) has been amazing ... the game looks stunning, runs super smooth for me (outside lowest i saw was 58fps, inside like 70-80fps) ... defualts to max presets on 3440x1440 ... i see it defaults to window borderless and its running fine, dont want to touch anything lest i break it ...

bugs: yes ... i chose the turotiral and the tooltips were all wonky. my screen decided to go 16:9 at a point ... going into the menu and back out made it 21:9 ...

but a game that deserves to be supported ... buy it ... lives up to the hype for me so far

So who is on sick leave today ? :)
I thought the game would release midday today, so am off tomorrow 🤦‍♂️
Anyway, i can have a lil nap when i get home and then sit down and spend the next 3 days hacking, slashing, shooting and punching my way through Night City
