Cyberpunk 2077

Poor old 1080 can't do much anymore, dropped to Medium with one or two sliders moved back to high but even then it's a pretty and incredibly detailed game. Puts most other games even maxed to shame.

I think CDPR pulled another Witcher 2 with this one. Similar to the Ubersampling that game had which took years of graphics cards to catch up I assume we will be looking at flagships 2-3 times stronger than our current ones 5-6 years from to max this game at 4K. Apparently the ray tracing used in this game is miles ahead of the implementation in other games.
What's your frames like on med settings with the 1080

My boet, time for that upgrade.
I had exactly the same issue.
Cpu spiked between 20 and 80% for the entire download, I think it might have been something with the way they compressed the game

OH NO!!!!

Absolutely adore the game.
Dlss implementation is some of the worst I've ever come across. Needs some serious work by Nvidia/Devs.

Absolutely abhor the game.
Playing for 20 minutes now and the visuals aren't as impressive as I was expecting.
Maybe it will grow on me

Pity the DLSS is FUGGED but at least we can still play the game.
Need to do 2 Tarkov mission this afternoon and then i'll pack that chestnut away for a couple weeks.

I will find out what it does on my system tonight... Very anxious... If I get 60 FPS on my resolution at decent settings, I think I will be happy chappy... Fingers crossed for this evening...

Ugh, I'm frothing with jealousy. I should have bought a hardcopy.

How big was your update with the disk installation?

It’s a digital download. The disc is the soundtrack.

Game download is roughly 60GB but still going, will give the update size when it’s done.

Woke up early and played an hour at 5am'ish. Nomad. Large knob. Immediate impressions are superb. No bugs etc. But granted, I'm like 1 hour in. Hitting solid 60 at 1440p with HDR, RTX on ultra and DLSS on quality setting. Had a pretty memorable gaming moment when I stepped into the desert for the first time <3

Two questions -
1) What are your specs?
2) How do you feel about how DLSS looks in-game? @Nyt Ryda seemed to think it looks yucky.

9700k / 2080Ti. My brief experience with DLSS was great - only played an hour so far. I need to play more and AB with RTX/DLSS on and off to make a more informed call.

So HDR on, RTX/DLSS off?

Don't know about HDR, apparently it's not a great HDR implementation on console so I don't know how it is on PC.

I have a feeling that the desert is making everyone think the game performs better than it actually does. Go start a corpo path for 15 minutes and you'll see how the FPS tanks in the city (where you'll be spending most of your time) and how DLSS messes up the edges.

One thing I've noticed is that my cpu is around 55-75% usage most of the time. This game is intensive, the most I've seen so far, they're really pushing the current hardware.
