Hi everyone,
Hope everyone’s are doing well.
Got a quick question, I got the following spec pc for free, I know it’s very old, but everything still seems to be working okay. It needs a graphics card and a better psu for starters. Considering upgrading the cpu to a I7 3770, as that is the best the motherboard can handle.
My question is, is it worth investing a little bit of money into the pc and using it for some gaming? Looking at racing sim games, like Assetto Corsa online with some friends etc.
Specs as follow.
CPU: Intel Core I5 3470 3.2ghz 3gen
Motherboard: MSI H77MA-G43
PSU: 450w EZcool
Ram: 2 x 4gb DDR3 1600 standard ram, not gaming sadly
The motherboard seems to be semi okay perhaps.
What graphics card would you recommend, budget is around R3500, or if you know someone with a 2nd hand unit for sale, would greatly appreciate the referral.
I use to be into some gaming Back in the early 2000s, when I was still in primary school, so at least not completely useless when it comes to understand some tech.
Hope to get some feedback from you guys.
