I’m looking to build a full gaming setup PC monitor keyboard mouse all for about 15k can go a little bit higher here’s what I’ve chosen so far System Builder I think it’s a pretty decent lineup so I’m just wondering who do I buy this stuff from, I mean you have to be cautious in this country I don’t want to get dead parts, so any recommendations, I’m in JHB south but close to the north area of that helps

New would suggest @RebelTech their warranties are on point...as for 2nd hand you are posting this on carb?

Depends what you want.
Carb is the perfect place to pick up great deal.

Think you need to be a big more specific in what you want.

Those Evetech Ryzen deals are really really decent - and...touch wood....I've never had an issue with Evetech. Not with ordering, delivery, selection, pricing or even refunds and returns.

But there are indeed some amazing deals on Carb if you manage to get in on the action in time 😁

I don’t trust anybody in this country to be honest, I know there are alot of good honest people out there and on Carbonite but not taking the risk with expensive parts, looking for a more official place with warranty and guaranteed quality

Well if you don't trust anybody why waste our time on Carb asking for advice. Just figure it out yourself.

Someones got an opinion and attitude.

This is a closed community for a reason

Do the math, but for someone who seems new you seem to be throwing stones at glass windows pretty early

I have bought all my parts off Carb for years now and have never had an issue...But if you want new then you pay the premium and get the service that comes with it

I will give you some advice anyway.
You can't use Partpicker to figure out what you going to buy locally and convert your $ total into Rands. It's only relevant if you are buying from overseas.
Also some of your options are not ideal. A Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX 1660 in SA are overpriced new and not recommended. I presume this is a Gaming PC so there are better choices. When it comes to graphics cards , it really is one option you should look to buy from our forum. There are great deals and many have long warranties left. A GTX 1660 is about R 4K new retail which is too high. For Eg: a GTX 1070 is much faster and would set you back about R 2800 on Carbonite.

Also Monitors are also worth considering from here . The monitor you chose is just a standard 24" which you can get for very little on here . Look at the monitor Forum . Just saw a 24" Dell for R 1K. If you want a 144hz gaming monitor then your budget will have to be stretched further.

And just to emphasize, there are very trustworthy people on Carbonite and I would trust them any day over some of the big online Tech shops who often go out of their way to deceive their customers via price manipulation and warranties that are far less than the manufactures warranty.
Rebeltech and Wootware are recommended.
Try and get a mix of brand new and some used parts and you will get a much better deal, otherwise your R 15k won't go that far.

Then go visit EveTech. They have great customer service and warranties. (sic)

But Incredible Connection has the best after sales support and their technicians are so clued up on the latest and greatest tech... Why not send him there instead.

Thanks man really appreciate it, I’m really not bashing anyone I phrased my response wrong I mean your response is testament to how great people can be

On a serious note.

Evetech CAN offer a great build for a discounted price. BUT lot of people complain of after sales service. So dont expect any of that.
They have a mailer going out every Wednesday and Friday with discounted items.

Any item you see overseas at a price you can multiply that cost by 1.9x
$100 = R1900 (Import duties and vat and all that jazz) and that excludes shipping
