I think you know very well the clicks weren't working before sending it, mr ivan. You didn't want to mention it in the original post likely because you knew people would haggle down the price. I think its incredibly petty to act like this, i was even being polite to you initially because you seemed like a decent guy.

Now not only are you being dishonest (see the pic at the top where you replied to me showing a video, clearly said the left click giving issues was normal) you are trying to smear me by insinuating 'I' broke the laptop, otherwise I don't know what it being in a 'compromised' state means. However, I trust people here on carb will at least be able to read between the lines, see the truth for themselves.

I'm not public shaming. I'm playing open cards here. Also, I don't need your permission to use Google (or search for any information that's in the public domain). I'm not going a background check, and I'm not doing anything that's not accessible with public information. Your name was used by you to create your account (Christopher I Govender). Coupled with "Ivan CIG" that you used this time, I Googled that and found your website. I haven't Googled any further. But I can?

The way you handle your, uhm, "clients" say a lot about you as a person, and kind of determines how your future on Carbonite (and elsewhere) can go. It depends on you. Outright denying a refund after you were told about the issue, and having it confirmed by a repair centre, and then saying the buyer broke it, that's not the way.

Not that my input has been requested, but as a fellow forumite I'd like to comment.

@ivan cig - Christopher, this and the other deal seem really shady man. I would understand if the buyer had opened the laptop and potentially caused issues, but that's not the case here. They complained about it not working, took it to get it checked by a pro who verified there's an issue and then attempted to unobtrusively fix it themselves - to no avail.

You really should come to the party here and refund the man. If the laptop is totally fine when you receive it back, simply sell it to someone else. If not, correct the issue and then sell it. But making the faulty laptop the buyer's problem when it was advertised as working correctly is not how we conduct ourselves on Carb, nor how anyone should conduct themselves anywhere.

The fact that there are 2 deals with issues just raises more red flags and your unwillingness to address the issues doesn't make you look good at all. Do the right thing and address the isues so that all involved are satisfied.
