Hello everybody,

I recently got me a Honda NC750X,

Been looking into mounting my phone but not too sure on which brackets are actually good? watched some videos but would love a 2nd opinion of some of the guys on here.
As well as hand guards that are decent quality

Ram mounts are pricey but absolutely the best.
There's the "X-grip" which I've never used myself, but is apparently really good.
The Ram "Quik-Grip" (RAM-HOL-PD3) is the indestructo-holder. I've used one for 7 years on my bikes across plenty extremely rough dirt roads etc and it's never failed.

In either case you're in for about R1000 but worth every penny.

Prices are good but they often don't have stock of stuff.
4x4Direct is another option but they don't have as big a selection.
Remember that you'll need the holder + an arm + a U-bolt or something to attach to the actual bike. All Ram.

I use the X-Grip, just make sure it's something like this

Also go for a better fixture method, I.e either the plate that you put a handlebar bolt through and tighten to hold into place, or the one that bolts onto your mirrors (both sold by RAM as well).
Also if you are ordering RAM, just buy from Amazon as it's cheaper than on Takealot, by a fuck ton.

As far as sturdiness goes I had one on my ninja that kept my phone nicely in place at 250km/h, and I am using the same on my Aprilia, never had it drop my phone (even on the wish knock-offs which can be picked up for like R200).

My friend uses the SP Connect on his bike (F800GS) and bakkie. Since it comes with a universal cover, he can quickly switch between the two which is quite a nice touch.

He also ordered the anti-vibration module to protect the phone camera.

I've used one of these for the last 3years without any issues. Amazing value for money (cost me R700+- incl import IIRC)

But alas, no one can argue against RAM mounts. If you have the money, get a RAM.

Thanks for all the recommendations, I think I will save a bit extra and get one of those RAM mounts

Yip, SP Connect got the win!
Have the sticky mount in my car as well and wireless charging works like a dream through the case.
