Battlefield V

Regarding the lag, yes one of the conquest servers had big problems. Lag for days, almost felt like you where floating. Ones we jumped over to a new server the lag ended. Finding a new server to play on was a problem. The fact that the server region listing for Africa in MP is not working did not help. Finding SA server can be somewhat of a pain in the ass. Besides the one server, I had zero problems.

As for Game performance. BF5 Ran rock soled on my setup. I did have 2 or 3 instances where the game stuttered, but that was it for the enter weekend. Overall Soled frame rate with no problems.

I Was playing a lot of Grand operations. I found it to be a lot more fun than conquest. Conquest can get very chaotic at times. Never did the WW1 BF thig so can't compear it to BF1.

I do have a few problems with the game
Server region listing needs sorting out. Having to spam refresh over and over to get an SA server to show is getting annoying.
AA is to week in game. It very hard to counter Ace pilots. Unless your team has an Ace taking him on. Be prepared to get bombed senslise.

Overall good fun and I am enjoying BF5.

Loving this game. Played a shite load over the weekend and I love how they have removed spotting almost entirely from this game. Makes it so epic to crawl through the swamp and light guys up with them having no idea where you are.

Hate the server browsing issues for SA servers and that lagging yesterday was damn terrible. Luckily it was only on one server and everyone went over to the unlaggy one pretty quick.
Graphics are amazing and the ability to build fortifications is an interesting addition.

Just to add I haven't had an issue with this game aside from the server issues cause by South African servers. No crashes, no party bugs causing me to have to restart the game to play with friends, nothing that usually happens on day 1 releases. Pretty awesome.

@Not_Jason Jy hacker stop liking my post!!

hahaha

Jacks's video either piss me off, annoy me or just straight out frustrate me....

Why??? Well his stability with some of the guns where I seem to get insane recoil

now Gumper said you pull down while firing or he said low DPI....

maybe I really am just getting too old @PancakesZA :(

It's called recoil control my son and honestly you don't even have to try hard in BF:V.
As for low dpi, that just makes it easier to aim and control.

I used to play twitch shooters (UT,Quake,) on very high dpi, then I started playing CS and CS GO and eventually PUBG and now my DPI is around 500.
That said, it's not mandatory to have low dpi, some pro players play with insanely high dpi and are perfectly capable of wrecking anyone.

I'm definitely old, I have to play a few warm up games to perform close to what I'm capable of.
Right now in BO4, I play with 500 dpi but I still play it like it's a twitch shooter...My muscle memory is fine with it now.

If you're really serious about it, play 30min a day of just pure aim and recoil control training.
Get onto an empty server, pick a wall and start practicing. You'll eventually get to a point where recoil control is 2nd nature to you.
Pick a mouse dpi setting that's comfortable for you and stick to it. Even small changes to dpi can affect your aim.

I came down from 4000 dpi to 550 in CSGO this after playing 60 hours so yes its all in ones mindset

GOEIE F0K!!!

since when has gaming come down to that? :(

guess no more 'relaxing' games for me then ;(

oh wait, wtf am I even talking about... when I play BF, I need to keep track of my blood pressure as to not let it boil over

We must squad up bud!
I was going to invite you last night but I saw you were on the other SA server that works haha

Had an insane moment last night where we were pinned down by 2 tanks, squad leader brings in the might V-1 rocket and boom, he gets like 15 kills and opens up the field for us. Was epic. That match came down to a final score of like 0-5 or something.

I've had 3 games now where the final score was 0-1 it's crazy the tension that creates.

Got Origin access to try it out along with a few other games.

Doubt I'm going to buy it. Played 3 rounds now on SA server. Getting loads of stutters and frame rate drops on a bloody 1080Ti. Running 416.81 drivers.

Aside from that, it feels a lot like a BF1 DLC/Reskin.

It's not bad. It's just not great either. Will look for my FPS fix elsewhere for now.

Picture says a 1000 words and all that.

Come to Black Ops 4. We have cookies. And microtransactions :p

Great game! Muuuuuch better than BF1 imho. Reminds me of the fun I had with BF3/4. Handles ok on my GTX 1060 with medium to high settings. Plus the no Premium wall, it wont split the community.
Played a bit of single player, the mission where you needed to do some stuff on an airfield. I was running around, ran by an aeroplane and noticed E to enter plane....huh? Got in, took off and completed most of the mission with the aeroplane.
Cant put my finger on it, but its just a very fun and good game, its got some slight bugs, the one is funny, so I dont really mind, the ragdoll effects on some dead bodies are funny.

Anyone running the game on ryzen? I need to upgrade from my 3series i5 if I want to get stable fps :/ wondering how it performs on different setups.

Im running their min recommended CPU, 6600K but im @4.5 so that helps with the frames.
But then again, with 144h screen I do lower some setting to get the constant 144 frames.

I'm running it on an 1800X with a 1080Ti.
No issues whatsoever.

I'm seeing people say this a lot and I'm really wondering how much of that is actual improvements VS just the more modern faster and smoother weaponry and vehicles.

The pace and overall balance in BF1 was pretty crappy.
Right now all they really have to work on is the main bomber plane and buffing the medic class weapons. Other than that the game plays much better in pretty much every aspect.

No but I mean part of the slower pace would surely have had to do with slower vehicles and more single shot weapons?

Part of it maybe, I mean you have automatic weapons with a relatively high rate of fire in BF1, vehicles were ok, you could get away behind a couple if buildings if you were attacked, perhaps not as fast as a MBT in BF3 or BF4, but not too slow.

Time To Kill feels faster in BF V too, which I like, I detest bullet sponge games.

oh and Rocket launchers, we got them back! YAY!

Might also simply be that its a new game, something fresh to play. Should know after a week or three.

OOOOH! That V1 buzz bomb/doodlebug, man that thing makes you stress when you hear it. The explosion is just amazing, being too close and getting thrown back, impressive.

Performance with DXR enabled at the moment is dire. It needs a lot of work. The GPUs seem to be great but I think drivers and the DXR patches need a hell of a lot of work.

What FPS are you guys getting in game?
I'm hovering on 100 to 180 FPS. - With my setup in my signature.

I've noticed that if you flick the video preset (graphics) slider till it says low latency (basically everything on low, or off) the game comes across as very hazy, however when I switch over to the medium preset it looks sharper and clearer to see players etc. Pretty weird. BF4 didn't do this.. Haven't had the time to see which setting specifically does this.
