Deal URL: [Sale/Trade] - (Sold)Playstation 4 (Ps4) + 1 Scuf Controller and 6 Games | Playstation
Seller: @Jakes
Buyer: @hamzahs
Description of Bad Deal:
Paid for the PS4 on the 30th November ,seller shipped it on the 1st of December and I received the console on the 2nd of December -Seller packaged it very well and deal was going very smooth up until this point.
When I went to test it and tried to insert a disk, the disk needed assistance to go in the drive-and to be ejected.Like it gets stuck.I immediately messaged the seller and notified him of the issue ,to which he told me to get a quote and he will "transfer me some money ".I did get the quotes ,roughly (R1350 - R1700) and he said he will have a look after he was done with work. After no reply I messaged him the next day and he said a certain shop can do a disk swop for R650-keep in mind this is in JHB and I am in Durban.I did let him know that I was not happy having a repaired console .Fast forward a few days and I wasn't getting a response from him.
,so on the 14th of December I let him know that whilst I do understand that life happens and we get busy ,I needed a solution to this problem. He replied but then once again went cold turkey.Yesterday I messaged again and we discussed the quotes again ,after which I realised a simple solution would be to just reverse the deal.
After saying this ,the seller claims that the playstation is not actually his and he sold it on behalf of someone else ,and stated that this was mentioned in the ad (it wasn't -reason for sale was "upgrading PC").He basically said he can't do that since it would be out of his pocket when it isn't his console.Just need some advice on what to do here - I Don't like dealing this way and would much rather sort things out privately and not give anyone a bad name but ive been very patient and I don't know what to do .He also said he would have done the same (opened a bad deal thread) if he was in my situation.Inputs welcome
