So MWEB and Metrofibre have given me my 2nd free fibre line upgrade and i've got 200Mbps service, only to find out the new Asus router i bought 3 months ago can only handle 100Mbps line speeds on the WAN port. Sigh.
I'm so confused about which router to get now, and what prices to expect? Would my OTP need an upgrade as well?
Any advice or nudges in the right direction would be highly appreciated please :)

All ONTs are Gigabit.

Any gigabit router would be capable of the speeds you are looking for.

I got the same bump from metro to 500mb, but using the normal zyxel router and speed test running at 520mb+-

Think you can find any gigabit router for cheap though

Can you not set the WAN port to a different port?
If your ISP doesn't need PPPOE / or is handing out a IPV4 IP, then you can plug your CPE's ethernet cable straight into your routers non WAN ports.

I'm gonna check this out! Thanks for the hint
