Any reviews on LiFe4POWER batteries?

Fair enough.

I'm happy to pitch in here to help out the community

I have the battery, and a cable. I know you mentioned in another post that there was desktop software for the battery. If you can share the details with me, I can see if it reads through the software.

This is the physical cable you need but without an instruction manual for that cable I've no idea how to set up the software or what that cable is doing.
Err, the battery manufacturer specifies what pinout to use, and the protocol (Pyl, lib, lic etc)

Yes I am aware of the protocol etc my BMS uses, it's in the instruction manual, I don't know what that cable is doing at the USB end or the software it connects to.

Hi Scott,

Here is the link to the manual

If this one isn't correct, could you please suggest another that will work?

Thanks

Battery Pins
1 - Yellow
2 - Orange
3 - Black

Set BAUD rate to 9600bps, Pylontech protocol.

Still can't promise it'll work with Solar Assistant, I have no knowledge of that software so cannot give any recommendations.

No option in the software to set the BAUD rate. All dip switches on battery are down (OFF)

Using the option for "Pylontech RS485 port", as described here

Here's what I get:

RS485 isn't going to work with solar assistant based on that link there, we're working on wider RS485 compatibility at the moment with the engineers.

You can use CAN though: SolarAssistant, Pins 4+5

You'd need this for RS485: JBD BMS setup in SolarAssistant but that connector is not accessible to end users as it opens the whole BMS up for tampering.
