7″ Android 8.1 Double Din – GadgetGremlin

These are the generic units and work with most cars but will require a professional installer. For 90% of cars, there are custom direct fit units available but we do not currently keep that in stock. If you are in no rush for it and don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks, PM me and I can check for a unit made specifically for your car. They are slightly more expensive but do include a full front plate and will be direct fit into the car include canbus built in for steering controls.

2 custom units are on the way so I will update this thread with reference pics of what they look like and for which cars (those 2 units are for clients who placed orders with us).

For anybody who wants to see a video of the unit working, I have one installed in my car so we can meet so you can view the unit and tests it's features.

1. Can you get stock for a 2012 Elantra? - I will need you to please Whatsapp me an image on the dash so I can confirm whether a version is available.
2. Is this stock Android? - It is running Android 8.1 Go and is designed for a car entertainment system. If you want, we can meet as it is the same spec and firmware as the 7 inch unit at the top and you can play around with it to see whether it is how you expect it to be. You can change launcher, it does have google play store, etc.
3. Do these units have expandable storage and/or SIM slots?

- No Micro SD slots or Sim slots in the Android 8.1 version. Android should support a 3g/4g dongle and it does have 2 USB ports available.

The custom units are the exact same spec as the universal ones. It can be spec'd to have more Ram/onboard storage, a better screen, and a few other things. The main difference is the Steering wheel control canbus included which normally sells for over R1000 locally (canbus only). It also does come with an ISO connector and wiring should be a simple straight swap (remove original unit, plug in new unit without any wiring modification).

Yes it can. It runs standard Android 8.1 so you can install many apps from the play store to meet your requirements.

It depends on the model. Most of the units come with Aux out only (Front Left and Front Right). If you do require full audio out, it can be requested based on the model your require for your car. Whatsapp me on 081 598 2282 and we can chat and arrange.
