Hey guys,

If anyone has had any experience with this, it would be awesome.

I currently am staying in a house with a DSL-2500U (ADSL Modem) setup using a 4meg uncapped semi-shaped account, on a 10meg line.
There are multiple PC's/Consoles in the house all using the same internet connection, and at times it is becoming extremely irritating trying to game, while other systems are downloading.

What Id like to know, is if the following scenario will work.

Can I run the ADSL Modem in bridge mode, and then connect it to a 4 port switch, then via that switch connect it to two WAN Routers? (Each running a separate ADSL account)
In essence the 1 WAN router would be running the 4meg uncapped semi-shaped account, which would connect to the entire house as per norm wired/wireless, but then the second WAN router could run a capped unshaped account (4meg) that could run on another SSID used just for gaming. (and use of the consoles)

Would I be able to run both simultaneously and at full speed? (thus at maximum using 8mbps of the 10meg line)

I dont want to waste money testing this, If anyone knows that it works or not, it would be awesome.

have seen people mention the use of 1 Modem/Router which can connect to 2 accounts (or where the main computer connects to account set up on it while other stuff connect to an account set up on the actual router),
but have not seen scenarios where people have done 3 separate connections.

and at full speed you mean EACH CONNECTION at the 8Mb/s? that wouldn't be possible because you are still in effect making use of 1 line at the end of the day.

yes the wan routers will be able to dail the accounts both at the same time.

just remember if the uncapped one is downloading torrents, your connections still going to be killed as it kills the adsl line.

But yes the uncapped will run at 4mb and unshaped account can use the rest of the 10mb line.

I reckon only hope is to get a managed router like a mikrotik and set up some rules.

You can test this out at home:
The ADSL modem is connected to the internet as normal with the uncapped connection.
The PCs initiates a PPPoE connection to the internet using the capped account.
Now the PC runs full speed (whatever the ISP allows < 6meg) and the modem runs the uncapped at full speed (4meg).
