To clear things up:
I know that there was a bad deal thread surrounding this card but that was purely down to misinformation regarding warranty. The card has only been in the hands of reputable forum members and as far as I can tell through my own testing, this card simply has a bad die. It runs incredibly cool (lile 55c in COD MW cool), it boosts perfectly fine up to 1987MHz (no offset can be added) and I have been running the memory at +455MHz to yield an effective 12150MHz. As far as I can tell for the last 2 weeks of use this setup has been fine and I doubt the card has any actual issue with the die. Anything is possible but from looking online it doesn't seem like this is the only 1080Ti to be stuck at 1987. The panic sell is purely and I mean purely due to the fact that one of the member's of this site offered up the ideal 5700XT for a ridiculous price and I am trying to acquire the funds before my hold period expires as he understandably needs to sell it soon.
