The day I get scammed on here is the day one or a few of you are invited to my place to come and slap me silly with a snoek, pls just leave the snoek behind so I can at least have a snoek braai afterwards hahaha.

Overlord has tried the same with me. He contacted me via pm after I posted a wanted thread for a screen. We moved the convo to whatsapp and from here he is really polarizing, he gets mad at me for wanting someone to vouch for him as we both were new and offers to send his adress or copy of his ID.

But at this point I was already put off and told him no it is fine I wont be buying.

Then he offers to send me the parcel and I can pay after I recieve but I have to pay him the courier fees. I was tempted but he then tells me at 11pm at night the courier fees wil be R500 ,which seemed high to me, and I have to pay it immediately.

After tons of polarizing whatsapp voice notes, he would be nice and next moment he wants to cancel because I dont trust him, I decided not to deal with him and I'm very glad I did not.

He plays off your CUD by tempting you and taking it away, he is afrikaans for sure.

Sorry for your loss OP [MENTION=7807]poplap[/MENTION]. I hope this Overlord guy gets what he deserves.

I'm very happy to hear that. Yes, if the starting amount was higher I would not have bit, but because it was a relatively low amount I decided what the heck. Then I added more money for another item as greed took over

Can these voice notes be made public? I'm sure it would help a great deal if future potential victims could recognize the voice.

Also, how about blocking users with zero i-trader from accessing the bad deals section?

EDIT: Maybe not blocking access to the section, still allow the zero itraders to create a thread if scammed, but blocked from reading other threads. Pretty sure if scammers can't see threads about themselves, it would hinder their ability to remain a step ahead.

Why not just make sure you aren't being scammed? I would never buy from someone with less than 10 trades unless several reputable people would vouch for said person.

The other issue with that is not everyone leaves feedback. I bought an Xbox One S off this site the other day and left feedback. But was never given feedback. So that system doesn't work that well either.

Name and call out the person who didn't leave you an iTrader in the thread that's there for it (here). It's a compulsory thing, so to speak.

Meh, I am not bothered by it that much. I'm sure the guy is just busy or whatever. He is will known on the site and well trusted member.
