So I am curious in the sense of my brother in laws pc. He is running a 2500k @4.45ghz on an ASUS P8P67 with 16gb 1600mhz ram transcend 64gb ssd with a slightly oc gtx 760. So I don't know how accurate cs go fps benchmark is but in his pc he gets 173 fps.

My setup is a 4670k stock on a asus h97-pro with the exact same ram and a 128gb ssd but I am getting 193fps on the same gpu. The cs go settings are exactly the same I truly can't believe that the cpu could make that much of a difference.

I have noted the same thing with numerous different cards (gtx 660ti gtx 770 and gtx 980ti)all preform better in my setup.

Curious to hear what you guys think.

Thank you for your time and posts.

CSGO likes CPU POWWWAAAAAA

As someone who played loads of csgo you will also see in your reseach CSGO needs the CPU!

csgo is a CPU bound game, look @ your GPU util under both cards and you'll see.

So one of the guys I did a delid for on a 4790k reported back to me that the difference he got between his 4.5ghz OC before the delid and the 4.7ghz OC afterwards gave him am extra 100 fps or something ridiculous to that effect. Cpu makes a massive difference. Also remember thst although his cpu is overclocked and yours is running stock your cpu is much newer architecture and far more power efficienct so can process faster technically.

I will run some more benchmarks and check on cpu usage when I get home. As I see some guys pair it with a 1050ti on cs go and get pretty equal performance 100% gpu and 100% cpu.
