I have a family member who runs a business from home. She and her husband have local and international clients that they consult for.
They have a conference room where they often must allow access to their wi-fi network for the clients to conduct business and banking.
Since they have three homes on the property with multiple users, all on the same network, would the Unifi Security of the UDM Pro SE be sufficient if one implemented VLANs to separate home and business?
Is the Intrusion Prevention of the Unifi up to the task or should one go to the expense of a dedicated firewall to ISP?

I am a novice in this field so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and I hope to have your valuable insights.

Hey @XL1000

You can quite easily implement a guest network using the UniFi console. This will ensure that all guest users only have access to the internet and nothing on the local LAN.

The open question is whether they have the full UniFi ecosystem (e.g. UDM & access points).

Please feel free to DM me if you need more context. Cheers

The Unifi will enough if only need to setup VLANs, however for more security features the Fortigate is the winner here.
Off course you can use existing Unifi as the networks VLANs then combine with Fortigate as the Firewall for securing traffic between VLANs or inside out (using internet)
