No clue all I have been playing is conquest haha

I have so much fun in conquest I haven't tried any of the other new modes. I see that the daily orders force you to play other game modes which is nice because I am sure later down the line it will encourage me to try something new. I have 1 person on my friends list who was playing another game mode the other day but it was just for the daily reward.

Yep, on PC is where I saw those settings. Makes me even more mad when killed across the map because now my mind is like "well if auto aim wasn't on I wouldn't be dead!"

Just grabbed this, keen to jump into BF again, did they cancel out premium in this one by the way, so we have full access to all maps and game modes?

Bought it on cdkeys and worked out @ R691 with the 5% facebook promo code if anyone is looking for a bit of a discount on origin price

No premium which means all players will get all maps which means no more watered down and split up community yay! I think digital deluxe and origin access premier users get access to the maps early but that's it.

So finally decided to bite the bullet ( literally ) and buy the game,

Finally finished downloading this morning and jumped right into it,

Am i missing something regarding local servers as yet? as i filtered through everything and couldnt find any, pressumably only international ones for the moment, or am i doing something wrong

They sometimes don't show up, they're up however.
Just go into filters, select Africa as region and select every single option available to you. You should be able to see them then.

Or just select Conquer or Domination or whatever game mode and start game. The match making has been accurate thus far and placed me in only local servers.

I skipped the beta and played this for the first time on Friday. Holy shit the TTK is fast, not sure I like that.

Performance is awful too, man oh man. 1070 and 4790 on main PC, 1070 and 8750H on laptop. Plays like garbage on both. Feels like a step back graphically and performance-wise from BF1, which ran well on both my machines.

I put hundreds of hours into BF1 and will probably get into this, but first impressions not been great.

Someone tell me it gets better.

Check the filter settings. For me, no servers showed up because the filter was only showing local servers with slots available (ie no servers that were full).

That's very weird.
How much ram are you running and at what Resolution?
The TTK is probably one of the best of any fps game (As far as I'm concerned).

Desktop PC is 24GB at 1440p and laptop is 16GB at 1080p. Desktop has Gsync even and still feels wonky.

On either system I will get between 40-100fps, but it will spike and vary wildly. It's a very unstable experience. Played around with settings even and can't get anything near stable.

I fully expect this game to run stable at 60fps at the very least at 1080p on my laptop, but it can't even manage that. Dips into the 40s, and though the dips are brief in duration, they are frequent and kill the experience for me.

I prefer the TTK in BF1 or even BO4. This feels like WW2: Counterstrike Edition to me. But it appears most people like the faster TTK so I must be in the minority.

I'm having serious issues with this - filters just don't work for me. Last few days I've had to just join on Friends matches as I have not been able to filter out Conquest ZA servers. Hopefully a patch can resolve this!

Otherwise I am thoroughly enjoying BFV - much improved experience on the beta. Focus is much more on squad play. For anyone still on the fence, get the Origin Premier Access @ ZAR 199 per month and see if it sticks for you

Isnt the TTK faster in BF1? I felt it was

I only played the BF V Beta, but I found BF1 was an all round faster game.

Contemplating going the BF V route as BF 1 servers are dwindling....
Are BF V servers generally full?

Regarding server issues, BF1 does the same thing for some people. Servers just disappear and re appear after 5min

11, haven't tried 12 because it sucks apparently. Can we also just have a moment of silence for the fact that the current standard is still a DX version that is now 5 years old? I can't even.

I'm looking around on the internet, will play around with different settings and see if I can get it to run smooth in same shape or form.

My motivation to deep troubleshoot this isn't enormous at the moment. I'm still enjoying BO4 too much, plus I haven't even touched RDR 2 or Fallout 76.

Might just leave this to sort itself out for a few weeks if I can't find an easy solution.
