Both are pretty similar.
I know people love the Mi box and it is currently going for 1k on TA.
But Im currently leaning towards the Ematic just because of its various ports

i have the Mi Box S and can i just say...DAMN! no problems works beautifully

I've got the Mi Box vanilla, and its still kicking, supports some formats my QLED tv doesn't (looking at you DTS audio)

It seems pretty well made. Can't tell the difference between the two except the extra ports. Ematic unit is newer according to supplier and Netflix worked just fine and it's Google certified so no problem with my recommend.

I can tell you the cost on the Ematic is R1350 inc VAT from my distributor, so expect to pay R1500 or so for a unit
