Was tempted for an Xbox One, but going to skip it. Mainly because I suspect many of the kinectless Xbox Ones sold here tomorrow are going to have the coil whine issue
What makes you say that?
If mine has a whine, I will throw it at their face and they will give me a new one.
And what if the 2nd one has the whine ? And the 3rd ? And 4th ? And then you have to send it overseas to Microsoft and sit without a console for weeks ?
So if its said to be the Kinect that actually draws more power lowering the speed of whatever is causing the whine, what if you just plugged some other device in ( external HDD or something ) which draws more current as well? Food for thought what do you think?
I am in the same boat.Did anyone get there XBOX ONE yet, does your console have coil whine after the 10% performance update ?
I am completely put off by the XBOX ONE coil whine issues, I am not sure if I want to buy a XBOX ONE anymore.
Isn't the xbox one like already old? It came out like a year ago didn't it?

Apparently the Kinect version does not have it so thinking of getting that version - even though I can't use Kinect in my game room. Just don't want the whine. It will make me break something.
Got mine this morning slight whine, really not an issue IMO

Lol... some people will find any excuse to moan and bitch about something.
Agreed, are you going to be sitting with your face rite next the console? If not, its really not a problem lol

Yup, provided you don't live in a matchbox apartment (or your folks don't make you stay in a closet), the coil whine is a total non-issue.
