Hi

Looks like my dog ate through the little fibre cable thats connects to two small boxes before going into my router
the cable is pretty thin and i think its called a fibre patch cable and it has 2 green ends

my best guess looking at pics online is that it is a SC to SC APC cable

Any idea where i can get this ASAP in the randburg area ?
my last resort it to log a fault with openserve but they will charge me min R1000 for a R150 cable so i'd rather not go that route just yet

Contact the folks at Cable Applications, they sell pre-terminated fibre pigtails for around R30 per meter.

Be sure about the type of cable, yeah. There's Single-Mode and Multi-Mode, though for home fibre it's usually Multi-Mode SC APC.

Thanks, think i called them yesterday they were out of stock
i have the original cable with me so i'll carry it with just incase they need to see it

ok all sorted thank you guys!

i swear i phoned all over randburg but every place was out of stock so eventually phoned cable feeder systems and they had, drove there and the guy told me he had a multi point cable and mine was single point but he said not to worry just split the cable and it will work.

got home split the cable but then realised that the end part was one big plastic mold so couldnt split it - took out the dremel and went to work :D

its not pretty but its working - thanks again @Tweak-venetica
