Hey Guys,

I Hope everyone is well, Does anyone know where i could source an LCD Controller locally?

The Model Number of the LCD is LTN173KT03 - Samsung

I want to use this monitor in another side project of mine but am having issues sourcing the part locally, i know there are other ways/better ways to use an LCD but i am trying to reuse old laptop parts etc for fun/learning so sadly im not too flexible on swapping out the monitor.

I'm in the same boat and would have said Aliexpress but you can expect a wait of up to a year now due to lockdown delays around the world and SAPO being as efficient as ever. Some items even say "cannot be shipped to SA" because of this; I suspect many sellers on Aliexpress are tired of refunding money, and then one year later the parcel finally reaches the buyer.

If you can, just put all your hobby stuff that needs parts in a box in the garage and wait until next year and try again. That is what I am doing.
