Been a member since 2019, love the app, UI design, it just works.

I use Tidal. Running Pi 4 (via usb) with MyVolumio (only one that does Tidal Native). I do have 1 MQA capable dac, but the bulk of my listening is done at 192/24 on non MQA dacs. I have other Pi's as well with Allo Katana and Allo Digione. One Pi3B+ on usb. All running MyVolumio streaming Tidal 98% of the time. I do have flac & dsd on my NAS as well. Also streaming some internet radio stations for background listening. I tried Qobuz, but found no reason to change. I'm a long time Tidal user and in combination with MyVolumio, I have everything I need.

Edit - I listen on highish end equipment - both hifi & headfi. Closest in quality is Qobuz. Would rate it similar to Tidal. The rest - nope. SQ is not there

Spotify

I have used Google/Youtube music, Apple, Tidal, Deezer, Joox, and probably everything I could get my hands on.

At first, it was all about Hi-Fi quality, not wanting to miss out on the good bits, you know? When Apple launched their Hi-Fi streaming capability last year I was one of the first people on the bandwagon and was amazed at how good everything suddenly sounded,

Then I realised the album I was listening to wasn't available in Hi-Fi...

So I cannot distinguish the difference, therefore I do not benefit from Hi-Fi, therefore Spotify is king because of the amazing recommendations and library. I listen to my discover weekly every single week and I always find a new banger or two.

And for the people saying you can definitely hear a difference, sure, Hi-Fi no doubt has more "data" being pumped out, but try distinguishing when you don't know which quality you're listening to.

At the end of the day, the music you like is more important than the quality it is playing in, and Spotify has everything I like!

Apple Music. I use it on my Note20 as well now. I've used it on Windows via iTunes for years. I used to purchase albums on iTunes just to support the artist, and then port the albums back to an Android device or Windows laptop I would've owned at the time. I've just always liked the layout and I've always enjoyed artist recommendations. I looked at Spotify and I'm not a big fan of the layout at all (not that it's that bad). I don't really have to deal with any synchronization stuff because I mostly listen to music via my Buds, Beats or gaming headphones anyway.

Trying to find the balance between
- catalogue
- quality
- smart speaker support

I'm on Google Home, I think Spotify is better, but I also have YouTube Premium, because couch YouTube bingeing on xbox and no pihole
Spotify is the best!

I use Youtube Music mainly for ad-free videos. If it weren't for that, I'd go back to Apple Music.

I personally use YouTube music to stream music, it is cheep and has a very smart download system.
