Trying to setup my google home to default voice commands for music to spotify, however only google play music and youtube appear in the music service tab. From what I can find on the net, spotify is supported so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thats so wierd man, i setup my home mini a few days ago and i saw spotify as a supported "music app" when i check this morning the option wasnt there!?

have you tried the obvious, " hey google" play "xxx" on spotify

Maybe region lock, I had the same problem on the amazon echo

I am on South African region and it was in that connected accounts section. Sometimes takes a while to populate that list

Thanks for replies. Have tried all the obvious steps. Its really strange. Will let you know if I find a work around.
